EL Driver Side Power Running Board

The bracket for our power running board fractured - all else is fine - and we were told $3K to replace. Any suggestions on where we could obtain a replacement for less?

Is the running board itself (painted section) OK
Is the actuator OK

Hi there! It's a 2011 EL and all other components (running board, motor, etc) work fine. It's the front drivers side bracket that cracked and then broke.

can you remove the running board and get someone to weld/repair the bracket? $3K sounds excessive to replace a broken bracket..

Ebay or Amazon... I got both front with motors for $350 for my 2012

Looking at Tascaparts.com (genuine Ford OEM parts) the brackets themselves - depending upon which one - are between $30 and $90. So either do it yourself for $100 or find a competent local mechanic and get it done for less than $500.

And that is why I NEVER use a dealer for non-warranty repairs.
