engine and tranny swap

wats up guys i have a question about a motor and tranny swap,i have a 99 expo 5.4l 2 valve and i wanted to put a newer 5.4l 3 valve with the new 6 spd auto that r in the new f150s and expos.now i gotta strong feelin that the 5.4 will fit perfectfuly its jus a matter of if the tranny will fit wat u guies think??

It's not the physical dimensions that are the problems, it's the electronics. Getting the correct computers and making everything to talk to each other is way more difficult than just bolting everything in.

Why not just get a performance rebuilt 2V motor (approx 340hp) it will bolt in and hook up just like your old motor.

Have to agree with everything he said! The built 5.4 2V will probably be cheaper in the end than than trying to retrofit all the electronics too.

gud points but c i never had a problem goin wit a modded 2v i jus havent heard of any 3 valve swaps i know now y not lol but wat about the 6spd auto u think that cud work
