Just had a motor put in 1997 chevy1500 v.8, mechanic says everything is ok but when you drive the truck the engine lights come on and then the truck starts to act like its missing. New sensors and new crank sensor which the codes were saying were bad, after changing sensors, still same problem, can any one give me any advice?

Any auto built after 1996 complies with OBD diag codes. Have the codes read at one of the auto parts stores that offer that service and let us know what the codes are. Have them clear the codes and see what codes come back into memory.
If they have a higher end scanner you may be able to see what values are being sent to the pcm/ecu for the respective sensor. That will allow you to determine if they are out of range or are not communicating with the pcm/ecu.
