I tend to believe he has the incorrect dipstick, or replacement tube for that matter, for his model expy and a faulty gauge / sensor.

With oil pressure problems or gummed up passages I would have suspected lash adjusters bleed down or chain tensioner issues which should have caused a variety of other symptoms or noises.

I'm just taking it to a mechanic tomorrow to have it checked and hopefully fixed or at least make sure there is nothing wrong, I checked for any trouble codes and got only two of them but they seem to be totally unrelated:
1-. P0155 - 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 1)
2-. P0455

Took it to the mechanic today, it turned out that it has very good oil pressure, and only had a bad sensor.

it's all good now, at the same time I went to a junk yard looking for the correct dip stick since I measured the one it currently has and it is clear, it's longer than the original but I couldn't find any triton v8 engine, I did find other things that I needed for my expy, I got the.. rear door shocks? since the ones for my truck were missing.
