Hello all,

I wanted to get the details of my car. I am trying this for the first time. I've searched the forum for all posts with 'etis' and have entered my VIN on the website, however, I get a error message "FordEtis is currently unavailable. This may be due to planned maintenance or an error. Please try again in a few minutes. The IT team are working on restoring service as soon as possible. Apologies for any inconvenience.". I've tried for two days with the same result.

Do I need to be registered in order to use this service?

On the registration page under 'independent operators' it says "Only individuals who have been allocated a registered account and authorised access to this website should proceed beyond this point."

Many thanks in advance.

Thanks. Did you sign up as an independent operator? Is it possible to do that as a normal individual?

Ford and others maintain the original sales brochure, here is the 2011:
https://www.ford.com/services/assets/Brochure?make=Ford&model=Expedition&year=2011&postalCode=55401

I have (had?) zero use for ETIS. According to the VIN, my Ford Fusion is a Transit Connect without the commercial shelving package. How is that even remotely helpful?

Just curious, what specifically intrigues you about your particular Expedition, and what did the compnine report reveal that justified it $5 fee?

Thanks for the link.

No specific reason to get the report, I just wanted to know what the car had in case I had any use for it in future. I’ve had the car for less than a week and I’m getting to know it so It was worth the $5 for me as it’s a one-off cost and I have the info I was after.
