C an duals exhaust be done in a 04 expedition?

I heard of people removing the spare tire, or going under the rear independent axle.
Take it to a good exhaust shop they will find a way when it comes to $$$

BGF is right, those are basically your options due to the IRS.

true...ive gone to about 5 different shops trying to accomplish this and they all have said the same thing...with the spare on they will have to go under the suspension...without the spare on there is room to run the pipes but pending how the route it u may lose the capability for the spare all together...

Yeah I've heard that to 6K. I been to 3 down here in South Texas and they all say you need to remove the spare and if I did I asked how much and it ran about $900 bucks and your first born child.....

they have to make a custom Y pipe and run the pipes bend them and two Magnaflows are like 250 a piece.

Why do you need a custom y-pipe? Here is a link to what my exhaust looks like. I did a DI/SO because of not losing the spare.

the dude at 3 star and the dude at Jesse's muffler shop both told me that a custom Y-Pipe is needed. I'm not that mechanic savy so I'm like ok. how much did you pay for your X-Pipe

$900!!! the highest I was quoted was $500...and in texas? theyre trying to gouge prices and its supposed to be a truck friendly state...i'd lie and say u can get it done at a rival shop for $500

I was told that you needed 2 1/4 inch piping all thru the exhaust. the X-pipe needed to be 2 1/2" this conversation is in past posts

I mean I googled the best size of exhaust and a conversation on this forum popped up which is one of the main reasons I joined. so in this conversation I read that for a 5.4 you needed a 2 1/4 " piping

thanks guys. I think I stay with my spare tire. too much of a hassle . I HAVE NOW 40 DELTA single out but I thinking of getting super 40s .what do you guys think, is it worth the change Iam looking for the truck to sound louder delta 40s to quiet for me. and thinking about deleting one of the resonators?? whats do you guys think?

how much do you want to spend on your exhaust? I found a killer set from MagnaFlow I'm thinking of getting catback single pipe out. its pretty expensive thou. for the kit its like $1115.00

taiking about exhaust I have a problem. never heard it before but when I turn on the truck when its cold in 1 minute after she make 1 or two clicks noise like a tin can then it gos away and after driving for a while on turn off she does it again, sounds like is comming for the cats. is this normal or are the cats on there way out. truck drives great besides that, no check engine light.

Too be honest i cant remember the size right now. I think it is 2.5". Its been almost 9 years since i put the exhaust on. I will find out for sure and post later.

I like my borla single cat back. Looks nice and sounds nice. Not annoyingly loud but very nice low rumble sound.
