Factory Sub

Went to thel local stereo shop today to get some prices on some things. They told me if they install it that they would hook up to the factory sup and amp and give me the abilty to adjust the sup volume from the sub setting in the head unit. Has anyone ever had this done and does it work ok?

Yes - definitely works. make sure they put resistors inline for the amp turn on to get rid of the turn-on pop. I had to pull mine back out to do it because I forgot. Thanks, Mike
