I had my brake master cylinder and power booster replaced under the Ford Recall in March 2024. The replacement was performed at the dealer.
Fast Forward to September 2025 and the master cylinder and brake booster failed, ruining a vacation and necessitating a $2000 repair at a brake place (the dealer in the town we were driving through when the brakes failed refused to let me bring the truck in without an appointment).
Ford is refusing to offer reimbursement because they only offer a 12 months/12,000 mile warranty for parts replaced as part of a recall campaign, but if I had bought the parts myself and done the work I'd get a 2 year unlimited mile warranty.
Same parts. Different warranty.
Regardless - if you had your master cylinder and booster replaced under the previous Ford Recall (I know they issued another one this year) don't trust your brakes. They will fail.
Ford sucks. Will never buy another Ford product.
