Hi everyone - I just traded in my 06 Explorer Eddie Bauer 4x4 V8 for an 08 Expedition Eddie Bauer 2x4 and so far I'm loving it (aside from the gas mileage difference but I knew that going into it!)
My Explorer was pretty loaded and it had some options the Expedition doesn't have that I'll really miss: Moon roof, heated seats, rear DVD. But the Expedition has some nice touches the Explorer didn't; power lift gate, power running boards, custom 22" chrome rims, rear-view camera.
At the moment, I'm busy spending lots of money on accessories, my biggest expense is going from the factory 6 disc CD changer to a Kenwood Navigation system with HD radio/DVD/Garmin traffic, iPod connection which I'm installing myself.
As time goes on, I want to add a remote start (had one on my 03 Crown Vic and loved it!), maybe HIDs, better floormats, etc.
I did order the Expedition repair manual on eBay so hopefully that will help with projects, but I also hope I can count on everyone here if I'm in a pinch! I look forward to chatting, perhaps there will be times when I can be helpful as well!
