Greetings fellow enthusiasts,

We traded our 21 XLT for the new 22 Timberline w/ 501A & tow package. This truck has all the mods I wanted for the '21 and the new features. We ordered on 4/12/22 and we picked it up 6/17/22. First mod was to have the dealer flip the tires to blackwall. Unfortunately the dealer drilled the front plate bracket into the bumper even after we told and reminded them not too. Anyone know what color this gray metallic is? I need to get the bumper plugs asap! We are happy with the deal over all.

We already got the windows slightly tinted. Best part is my wife loves it too! Its fun being Ford people.

I'd be pissed if I ordered a new vehicle and told the dealer to NOT put on a front plate but they did it anyway. Make them get you a new front bumper cover.

I'd be too. Unfortunately it's mandatory where I live to have it up front. Also, why is the plate holder so high up? Shouldn't it be lower on the silver part of the bumper?

The Timberline has it up high as to not to interfere with the skid plate.

It is molded to fit in that location.

We were pissed. But they gave us a good deal. In a market where dealers where not budging from MSRP, they took the Xplan. They flipped the tires for free also. And we needed a car. I'll get the bumper plugs. Im not interested in body work on a brand new car.

Def would piss me off. I can't be certain but the frame also does not look level, down toward the passenger side - maybe the angle of the pic.

Not saying that it can't be done, but it is super hard to put on crooked. There is a notch that only fits the center groove at the bottom. Additionally, the sides are molded in a manner that they follow the curved section between the top portion, orange detail line, and then the small black section under the orange accent line.

You are correct. Also its too high up. Its supposed to be lower in the silver area. I have an email in to the dealer to see if they will make it right. They've been fair to this point. I expect they will come through.

The Timberline plate holder is designed to be up that high due to the skid plate. When I installed mine, it would not fit in the silver area correctly. The grooves did not match up to the contours on the front bumper any lower than where you see on my avatar.

That is crooked! Looking at the top there is more of the cover showing on the upper left. At the bottom the lower left covers more of the grille hole than the lower right. How can there be a debate? The dealer owes you a new bumper cover.
