Please don't take this the wrong way, but just the fact that you're asking this question proves that you shouldn't be doing your own brakes. You need more than just tools to do a proper brake job, you also need the knowlege and experience to do the job correctly and safely.
Sure, it would be great to save a few bucks, but spend the money and have a qualified pro resurface the rotors and properly install the brakes. I know it looks easy on all the tv car shows, but if you mess it up, the results could be really, really bad.
