Hello I was hoping to get some info on my 2004 Expedition xlt sport w/ 5.4l engine and 4x4. I've had it about 6 months and it has been trouble free so far. Last week it developed a grinding almost sounds like a bearing noise in I believe the left front hub. The sound goes away when I put it in AWD or 4WD and comes back in 2WD. I have replaced the IWE solenoid and I still have the noise.

My question is this, I see a lot of info for the f150 for this problem. Are the Expedtion & f-150 similar with their 4x4 set ups? i.e IWE, actuators and such.

And does anyone have more detialed info on the TSB 18213" Grinding noise from front axle wheel hubs on acceration in 2WD"? Such as how to correct the problem. MOst of the info I've found pertains to the f-150 which has iit's own TSB with the MArk LT. Any info would be greatly apprecated. Thank youi
