Has anyone found a front winch bumper for the 2018 Expedition?

Would any of the the aftermarket F150 or Raptor bumpers work?

Not sure myself, however, if you haven’t already done so I would search the forum for “aftermarket winch bumpers”. If you find a place that sells them post the link if you don’t mind......

Something else you may want to look into: I use a front bike rack fitted into a front receiver that I installed (use the rack when we are traveling with our trailer). I seem to recollect that there are winch mounts that you can use with a front receiver. I haven't looked to see if there are any for the Expy, but it may be worth a shot and probably would be less expensive than a bumper.

The only company making them for 15-17 Expys is Iron Bull. You might want to check with them. Have patience though... Here's mine on my 17.

I will second the recommendation of the Iron Bull bumper. Johnnie at Iron Bull was good to work with and despite what others have experienced, my bumper arrived very quickly. Fit was pretty good - just a little tight to the fender flare on the passenger side, and it required some modification of the attachment of the grill. Will post some photos once all is finished.

HawX66 - Have you had any success in getting your factory front parking sensors to fit into your new bumper? (I see you have the the holes). I just got my Iron Bull installed this week and went to run the wiring harness for sensors and fog lights last night, discovering that the harness is too short to reach the holes in the new bumper. Based on the way the sensors work, I am concerned about soldering extensions into the harness due to the added resistance. I have ordered some grommets from a 2010 F150 that I hope will hold the sensors themselves. I don't want to be constantly reminded by the dashboard display to "Check the Front Parking Sensors" though. Thansk in advance for your thoughts.

I'm in the same boat as you Mark. I haven't finished with the sensors yet. I pulled my sensor wire harness apart, but I haven't extended the wires yet. I doubt it will have any affect on the sensor IMO. I'm not sure though. Like you, the sensor mount is an issue. I popped the mounts off my old bumper and once adhered, I think they'll work. I'm missing one and haven't been able to replace it yet of course... It doesn't appear to be available. I was thinking about the F150 mounts also. Please let us know how that works out for you.
One more thing to add. The bed liner they use to coat the bumpers with sucks. It doesn't take much to damage it so be careful. I don't think they prepped the raw steel at all when they sprayed mine. I think they needed to clean it and rough it a little before spraying.

How did you make out? Were you able to get something to work yet?

Hawk66, sorry for the late reply. Here's what I found:

I had may auto alarm tech extend the harness because he's a **** at soldering and did a very professional job.

Once everything was "glued" in place with RTV silicone (using the F150 grommets) the sensors worked fine --INITIALLY -- probably for a month or so. Then I started getting error messages on the display, sometimes indicating to check the REAR sensors, sometimes the Front.

I am not sure this is a result of the wiring extensions though. It seemed to coincide with a very thorough job on the underside of the vehicle with my power washer after getting lots of mud under it from where I work. It has progressed to the point it just says "Check Park Aid" which I assume means it is getting errors both front and rear. I am in the process of arranging for a friend who has a Snap-On Scantool to scan the system and see if there are specific errors it can detect. i hope I have not messed up the computer. Will report back on that effort.

One last thing: Recently it has OCCASIONALLY worked properly with the rear sensors - but so infrequently to the point that I am actually startled when the thing starts beeping.

Thanks for getting back to me. So your factory Expedition parking sensors fit in the F150 holders? Great. That will help. I'm still procrastinating on mine...
Have you tried just unplugging the front sensor harness and see if that fixes your error messages? Unplug the battery for a few minutes to clear things out? I think yours did the same as mine does now which just says to check the front park assist when the harness is unplugged. Good luck with the diagnostics. Let us know how you make out.
