Fuel pump 12 volt wire color

What color is the wire going to fuse box that stays hot only when engine is running for fuel pump? So that if engine dies in a accident the fuel pump doesn’t continue to pump. I installed a external fuel pump and only have a constant so fuel pump never shuts off if engines dies

Any auto parts store would have the relay harness. It’s referred to as a 5 pin relay harness or pigtail. Wrap it in cloth tape to finish it off. Make sure to leave the harness long enough to secure outside the fuse box, because it won’t fit inside the cover.

@Hamfisted so this is all about placing the relay outside of the fuse box? I have heard about issues people have had with blowing this relay, and I am worried it will happen to me someday. How does installing the pig tail help? Does it allow you to put it in a better location? Thanks
