I agree that welding is the only way to go. i welded mine a couple of years back after a failed epoxy repair (which i documented earlier in this thread).Why is plastic welding a short term fix? I have seen that epoxy, silicone and other adhesive type repairs are temporary, but plastic welding if done right should not be temporary unless I'm missing something.
Replacement used tanks are difficult to find with out having been drilled to drain and every tank I have seen on the local salvage yard also had vents with separated seems.
