I have been trying to get the gear selector indicator to work on my wife’s 18limited since new. Today I get in it and there it is. Whatever she hit it now works. On my f150 plat I just hit the gear selector button to toggle it on and off. What is the button I have to hit? Nothing in the manual.

The minus ( - ) sign next to the gear selector will lower the top gear you're allowing.
The plus (+) sign increases the top gear allowable, or hides/shows the gear indicator on the dash.

Wow! Thanks for posting this. My gear indicator went off and I thought it was broken!! I must have accidentally pressed the (+) button at some time. I actually scheduled a service appointment to get it fixed. I pressed the (+) button today and it came back on.

I couldn't find anything about this in the manual and it seemed like the service advisor didn't know about it either when I described my problem.

Huh, who knew? I wondered about that too. I thought it only showed if you were shifting manually. And I've read the book!
