Gear Selector Loose

I was hoping someone could share with me how to tighten the gear selector on my 2000 Ford Expedition. There is a lot of play on the shifter and it makes it difficult to put into the right gear, especially reverse. thanks

or if its just loose there are two torx head screws behind the dash, just stick your head under the drivers side feet area and look up and ther should be two of them, tighten them

*bump* I have the same problem its kinda loose and flops around a bit when i have it in gear on in park, the screws seem tight, what else could it be?

no one has any idea whats wrong or what needs to be replaced?? looks like Im going to have to go to the transmission shop, glad I know the guy.
