So I have an 08 eddie and I was wondering if people knew how to take off the whole center console face plate unit. The gear selector has a piece of plastic that moves with it when you shift gears, and it is cracked. I have a replacement but I don't know how to get to it. I am assuming I will have to take off the whole face plate to get to it. Has anyone done this before?

Whoa !!!!! No need to remove the entire console.

I think he just needs to remove the face plate.
Remove the black tray liner and you will see one bolt, remove it.
GENTLY pry up on the chrome trim ring around the shifter.
Then from around the edges GENTLY pry up on the face plate.
Thats it.

You may have to remove the shifter to replace that slide piece.

I have the pdf but its too big to attach. Send me a PM with your email.
