I have 2006 expedition.. I changed the oil and filter in the gearbox , but I still have an issue..the car takes a while to engage into drive..I have to rev the engine up for it to engage.. when driving it's fine all forward gears change perfect..but when I slow down and take off again, I need to engage a lower gear manually and then take off

Recheck trans fluid level when hot. If trans fluid is not low, you have a valve body or shift solenoid issue.
