Glove box damper 15-17 Expy

If someone is feeling helpful, would you mind taking a pic of where the damper hooks to behind the glove box? It's the little piston that softens the opening of the glove box.
I took it off tonight to replace my airbag cover and can't for the life of me find the spot the other end connects to. Thanks.

@HawkX66 I must not be looking in the right spot, or my truck doesn’t have it. Nothing like that in mine.... I have to hold mine up after I squeeze it together to get it to open past normal range

Wow, that's weird. The "piston" connects to the glove box on the right side looking at it and then connects to something under the dash. Other than that everything looks the same. Thanks for trying!

Ran into this same issue. I was able to get it reinstalled after I found the hidden mounting hole on the back side of a dash support.
