Gotts a question

Do I need to disconnect my battery to reset my computer after I do the gotts mod? Will the engine light come on if I don't? Also I have an after market stereo and don't know if it will lock up if the battery is connected. I didn't install it, the previous owner did.

i didnt disconnect it. the computer will learn it. itll just take some time. did you throw a code? if so then yeah itll go away. cause then itll learn it better with it off. as for your radio. no it wont lock up. ive killed my old battery a lot and disconnected it a lot too and nothing bad to my radio. just have to reset all my crap again.

Gotts mod is complete. It sounds a little different. Hopefully I'll notice a change in Performance

No... Hahaha, but considering its a fraction of the cost of an aftermarket kit that doesn't do anything for you either, ill stick with it. LOL

Expo2000, why disconnect the battery. Look in your owners manual and find the fuse for the ECM. Pull that fuse, wait 15 seconds and then re-install the fuse. You have effectively disconnected the battery from the ECM and you still have all your programming for the radio (as the radio never lost any power).

Just a thought.
