whats is the "gotts mod"?
Sorry, I am new

I'm new here too and am just learning about this, so bear with me. As I gather, the air inlet from the fender(?) is oval shaped, and the stock pipe is quite restrictive to getting good airflow to the filter. The Gotts-mod basically takes a piece of 3" i.d. PVC and "shapes" the outside diameter to fit the opening, but yields a true 3" air inlet. Claims of crisper throttle response, more torque and better mpg seem to be the major pluses for not much work and very little expense.

You can search gotts here, or as I saw recommended was to go search the F150 truck site. I should be looking into this in the coming weeks for my own truck.

I was also wondering what it was. Besides a 3 inch pvc pipe what else do you need?
