Heater

I am trying to figure out what is wrong with my heat. Hopefully someone who knows more about expeditions can help me out.

My front heating system will not work, from the floor, to the vents, to the defrost. It wont work from low to high in speed it comes out. My A/C also is out in the front.

But, my rear heating will work for the back seat area from low to high speed.

Please help, it sucks trying to drive in the winter without any defrost working, makes for a foggy window ride which your constantly wipping it down to see.

I'm trying to figure out is it no heat for defrost or at all? If no heat at all I would venture to say heater core... if just no defrost most likely blend door or something of that nature... or if no fan then blower motor.... try these or post some more info about your problem and others will chime in to see if we can help you out

sounds like a plugged heater core to me, i would replace the heater core, or have the system flushed to see if that cures it

There is no heat coming out at all in the front, the only heat that I have is from the rear vents because they work for some reason.

One day it was working and then the next it wasnt working at all. The rear has been working and never quite.

if it is the heater core, where is that located and how much is that usually?

This is a 2000 ford expedition v8 4.6L to so hope that helps.

Be aware though that the "cuts" this guy made is to save you tons of cash at the local repair shop if they use this method. HOwever if you want it done the "right way" (no cuts to anything) then the entire dash HAS to come out so be prepared to pay alot for tons of labor.
