howdy yall. my name is Phil. I have been a dark lurker on this sight for almost a year and just now getting around to say hey! Im a Marine stationed in N.C. from Kansas originally, was a sheriff deputy for 3 years before joining the Marine Corps. I am a total gear head. anything and everything I guess I can find a little respect for. I will never throw my money at a little tunner car but if one of my friends is into it, to each their own i guess. ive always been a two sided coin. big mud trucks and fast muscle cars (to include some newer modern muscle) had quite a few camaro's/ trans am's/ mustangs/a 66 chevelle and a 69 charger and a BUNCH of trucks. but for some reason I just cant manage to keep my hands on something for too long. I think the longest ive ever had something was a 78 chevy scottsdale that I jacked up on 44" Fun Countrys which was about a year and a half. but now getting in my wiser days im settling down, Ive had my 2003 eddieB for a while now. my dad owns a used car lot back in Kansas and he got this thing in on trade like 4 years ago needing a transmission, we put one in and I was able to drive it most of the time. she survived about 6 months and at 148k on the clock the motor decided to say goodbye. we already had money into it so figured might as well get a motor for it. (used with less then 100k) I still drove it from time to time always having a little sweet spot for it "dad would kill me cause I was born a chevy man." but I finally made her mine almost 2 years ago and she sat in Kansas for a year while I was away for the MC. now I got her over here in N.C. with me and ive been able to do a few odds and end stuff to her CANT THROW TOO MUCH MONEY AT IT CAUSE IM GETTING MARRIED IN MAY, got the (ebay 3.5/2.5 lift) hacked off the factory muffler and put in a flowmaster 10 series, ALOT quieter then I was expecting. factory CATS must really hold alot back. so here in about June im going to get a mandrel bent off road y-pipe for it to delete the cats. might do a muffler change in there somewhere. right now ive got 2" wheel spacers on her as I really like the wide stance look and along with trying to get taller im trying to not get to much of that top heavy feeling. still rolling on stock wheels and tires for right now :sad72: ive got a set of 315/70r17s for it waiting on wheels. lots of stuff in the works and gears are rolling. another motor swap should be planned for in the next year or so(hoping to do some extra goodies there vs a factory swap) either 3rd gen grill/bumper/hood swap or just try to find some sort of ranch hand style front bumper for it. desperately would love to be able to clear some 37"s or bigger on it. but that will probably never happen. I cant remember his screen name "SURVIVOR" i think, with the flat black expy.... yep..... Im copying your build a little. Ive creeper stalked your truck just about as much as I can haha im in love with that thing. welp....HOWDY!!
