Hi everyone,

Just wanted to say hello. I've read on this site for quite a while researching before the purchase of our new Expedition. This is a great site and seems to be very well managed and organized.

We just purchased a new 2004 XLT Sport 4x4, and are very pleased with the vehicle. I previously owned a 1997 XLT 4x4, and sadly, it was a giant disaster...it was in the shop for a large amount of time with many moderate to major issues. My fingers are crossed with this new one!! This new Expedition seem to be about twice what the '97 model was in terms of performance and capability.

I hope to not have to be posting here for advice on problems! So far, we've got 16 miles on the clock and all is well...

Take care,

JJ

Hi Monsta...

I have not had a chance to get the digital out yet, but I will this weekend...Ours is red fire clearcoat with parchment/mocha leather interior.... colors we fell in love with right away...

I'll be mounting some new wheels soon...I'm still looking into which ones...She likes the larger chrome sport style wheels, like a 22" with a low profile tire, but I don't want to give up 4-wheeling capability of shorter wheels with fatter tires! I'm looking for something that will be mostly street, but some occasional dirt/sand...as we live in the So Cal desert...and tow our quads to the sand dunes in Glamis often...Since this is MOSTLY hers.....She will probably prevail...and I'm sure that a good set of Goodyear Eagle 2's will be o.k. on the sand for occadional use.. it does have the 3.73 L/S rean end...

I haven't been ot your home in many years, but I do love the big island best...great hunting, fishing, and alot friendlier locals than Oahu...

Thanks alot for the welcome...
