Hey I'm new here and from Brooklyn. I've driven Fords my whole life, but gone without a car for like 5 years now living in the city.
Recently decided I wanted to buy an Expedition for a super budget off-road build to use just for road trips to the woods to go hiking and camping. A friend just bought a toyota and we're doing a the same to his truck, but he's the one who gets to drive it and I wanted my own project.
Probably gonna ask a lot of dumb questions about suspension, pros & cons about U vs T1 frames and stuff like that.
I'm currently looking at 2nd & 3rd gen Expys and trying to get something 2004+ in a Limited or Platinum trim with less than 150k on it but I'm flexible. Probably not gonna do more than 33"s, deer catcher, extra lights and maybe some suspension adjustment. Trying to come in at $10k all totaled. Feel like that's doable. Already missed a deal on a 2005 Limited at 125k for $5k and decided to get more serious about it now.
Looking forward to learning about this truck
