I have a '17 Expedition XLT. I was checking the air filter the other day and happened to look down and saw this. It's a green rubber band looking thing hanging on the hose coming out of the driver's side of radiator. It's just hanging there in between the connection at the radiator and that double "T" shaped connector. I can't figure out what it belongs to. From what I can tell the only way it could have gotten there is if the hose was disconnected at one point. I'm the second owner. There's no indication on car fax that anything was done to it except oil changes etc.. Expy runs good, no leaks. Maybe it was left there during assembly at the plant?

Well that does look to be a rubber band for sure, possible it was replaced and the new hose had a label rubber banded to it or it was just left there from new. I wouldn’t worry.

That was my assumption but figured I would see what the opinions were. The rubber band has an indentation on it and another one on opposite end as if it was definitely used to hold or hang something
