Hey guys. I just finished replacing the dreadful heater core. Everything went smooth, up until I got everything together and started the car. Everything works except for my turn signals, headlights turn on normally, hazards work too! But not the turn signal. There is no light indicating the turn signal is on either. Every other light works. Now the other thing that stopped working is the blower!! The a/c won't blow hot or cold. From the front or back. No matter what setting its on. I hear the vacuum lines when I turn the knob. I can see and hear the blend door opening and closing. But nothing. No type of air pressure coming from the front or back. What could I have missed?!?! Everything seems to be connected back in place. Any suggestions? Please help.
Ford Expedition 2000 4.6L 2wd
Thanks!

Go back over the connectors around the steering column and the cluster. Also check the grounds in the kick panels if you disconnected them.

Thanks stamp for the quick reply. I have gone over them twice and I did not disconnect any ground wires.

Double check fuses and relays.
If you did not disconnect your battery when you did the job, good chance you blew a fuse or relay.

Thanks detailer. I did disconnect the battery. The only thing that wasn't tightened all the way was one of the back bolts on the fuse box. Which caused my car not to start at all. Nothing popped up on the dash at all. But after I tightened that one bolt down. Everything worked. Except the blower and flashers. Please any advice or suggestions will be tested immediately!
Thanks guys.

Update

Blower motor bows works fine. But the turn signals still don't work. Only hazards work. I've tilted the steering column up and down to see if that would help (advice from another thread) it didn't help. Is the turn signal and hazard signal powered by the flasher relay that's connected next to the blower relay by any chance??
And is there a possibility that the flasher relay(next to the blower relay) popped but still semi works for hazards??

Update

So I decided to take the expy for a ride, and all of a sudden. The signals started to work...the blower motor was working at every speed..every single thing was working!!!!!!! Now. It's raining...and I guess the gem module or the fuse box is getting wet. Blower kept working with the car off and key out the ignition. I've read a forum about the most common spot that leaks. So now I have to get my window resealed. Is there any other precaution that I can take to stop this from happening again?

go to the ford site where you can dload a free owner's manual that shows all the fuses

i'd prob disconnect the battery when parked to deal with stuff not turning off with the key out

'til i found a better way

Did you replace the flasher? it is in the fuse block. Not the same flasher as 4 way flashers.

Which is the flasher that you are talking about?

Well I thought the problem went away. But my turn signals and blower are not working anymore. They both go out at the same time. It's so weird! Another weird thing that I noticed late last night was that, the turn signals and blower both stop working once the abs light turns on in the dash!! That light never popped up until now. Does anybody know if the GEM module has any control over the turn signals, blower and abs light?
Thanks again guys for your help.

Module Controlled Functions
The multi function modules consist of the following:

driver seat module (DSM)
generic electronic module (GEM)
The drive seat module (DSM) allows automatic positioning of the memory driver seat, both outside memory mirrors and the memory pedals to three programmable positions. For additional information, refer to Section 501-10 .

The generic electronic module (GEM) constantly monitors its subsystems for concerns. If a concern is found in one of the subsystems, the GEM will record the concern in the form of a diagnostic trouble code (DTC).

The ignition switch position is very important to the GEM function. Often times, erratic or unexpected GEM function can be traced to problems with these GEM inputs.

The GEM controls the following features:

Wipers/washers (front/rear).
Warning chimes.
Battery saver.
Illuminated entry and courtesy lamps.
Driver power window.
Accessory delay.
4-wheel drive.
Heated backlite/mirror.

Even though you state that you didn't disconnect any grounds, you need to make sure they are tight and clean. You are now talking about water leaks so pay attention to the ground connections behind both kick panels the grounds in that area are common to the turn signals and to the blower circuit

Update

First off, thank you everybody who took time out of their day to help me out on this.

So I was doing a little research on the gem module and fuse box getting wet. For some reason, my attention kept going to that fuse box. So I decided to disconnect and drop it. I also disconnected the GEM module from the back of the fuse box. I started inspecting and blowing the connections on every connector. On the back of the fuse box there is a big brown plug connected to it. That plug has a lot of slat like pins. There was one pin near the bottom that seemed like it was getting a little dirty. Greenish white substance on the edges. I cleaned that sucker up real carefully and connected everything back together. I did have the car battery disconnected by the way.
As soon as I cranked the car up, the blower turned on, abs light off, andddd the signals work!!! Now, in case you guys haven't noticed, I know nothing about cars. Just started recently working on my own thanks to guides on line and stuff. So I'm not really sure what that big brown plug with all those wires controls, or if I hit something in place during he process of take the fuse box out. Do you guys think that plug had something to do with it?
