help with Remote keyless/ Anti-theft module

Hi:
I had an stock remote keyless access that died on me. I did replace batteries in both remotes, I did replace the anti theft module from the junkyard but still nothing. My Suv is a 2000 expedition EB. Does any body has any suggestions of how to tackle this problem?. Any inputs will be appreciate it.

Do you have a laptop ? You can download ForScan free and with a proper OBDII to USB adapter, use your laptop to look at your security module. Why did you replace your security module ?

yes I have Forscan in my loptop but I couldnt figure out how to program the junkyard module. The only think I manage was to program an extra key, sorry unrelated. I did found a youtube video mention the module, I think that info was wrong because they never mention that programing was needed. I did try to find info about how the keyless remote access works but not much is available.
