Alright guys my last resort before sending truck away and paying out the a$$.... opened up under steering wheel to replace gem module and found a bunch of shady wiring... guessing the guy was by-passing the gem? Take a look any help much appreciated, Also found some connectors not plugged into anything... starting to take all sketchy wiring out to try and piece back together so hopefully when I put new gem in everything works... thanks

That wrapped (red with bare and one cut off) looks like they just tapped for power. The connector in-between thumb and forefinger is the trailer brake control wire harness.(suppose to be there)
