My name is Erik and I recently inherited am 87k mile 2004 5.4 EB. This was my mothers truck for the last I don't know many years but she's had it a while and didn't drive it too much. She bought a 2017 Explorer when her local shop said it was unsafe to drive in its current condition.

This thing needs some love. The rad support is rotting away, got some leaking trans lines, pretty rusty brake lines, and many rust patches on the roof. Plus the exterior is a bit beatup. I plan to keep it and fix these issues before putting it back on the road. I've always liked this truck, and it has just became the newest member of my "Ford Family". I own (and modify) a bunch of Ford ZX2s and a 95 Explorer as well.

Seems like a good bit of knowledge is floating around here. I used to turn wrenches for a living so I probably wont be posting much unless i run into an issue or cant find what I'm looking for via searching.

Anyhow just wanted to say Hi and that I'll be lurking around the forums now.

Curious about the ZX2. I worked at a dealership back when they were new. Never seen one modified though.

That's my turbo worklog over on teamzx2.

This was my second car, bought in 2003 with 47k miles, second owner if you don't count Ford. Fun little peppy 2.0 with a 5 speed. Being 17 at the time I found teamzx2 and caught the modding/tuning bug. There's still a handful of us crazy people still modding and driving these little cars, there really quite fun.

Aside from the transmission being made of glass I'd take a zx2 over a focus any day.
