Just picked up my 2025 Expedition Max Platinum this week, which I ordered back in the Fall. I picked it up less than 48 hours after delivery at the dealership yet it had 100 miles on the odometer. Did the long hold before shipment create some oddly high pre-delivery mileage? Maybe some testing? Or did someone at the dealership take it for a night on the town?

I know some vehicles (Mustangs) are randomly taken off the line and used for some quality-control checks. Yours may have been one of them. You may be able to look at the service records and see when the dealership did the PDI on your Expy. That may tell you the mileage of the vehicle when delivered and before someone started driving it.

That would piss me off. They are not putting 100 miles on at the factory. I would have them order me another one. I order vehicles to get them with 4 miles on them.

I wouldn't fret about 100 miles on the odo as long as the warranty start date and miles correspond to the day/miles you take delivery. Yes, it's possible, and likely, that your Expedition was off-lined for additional testing. It's also possible that some road miles were put on the vehicle during transport rather than have it sit in a marshalling yard waiting for conventional truck or rail transportation.

We test drove a '25 KR Max yesterday. It had been at the dealership for one day and had 300+ miles on it.
I think they said it was a dealer trade, so I do not know where it came from or where/how the 300+ miles were driven.

Members of this forum cannot answer your question regarding the reason for the 100 miles on the odometer of your new 2025 Expedition - only speculate.

You should have spoken to your salesperson when you took delivery, to determine why the high mileage.

my 2025 had ~85 miles on it. New generation of the expedition. I'm sure they are curious. One of the salesmen had my car and the owner had it too. No big deal.

Was the vehicle a stock unit, or one you ordered?

When I read the title I was expecting something like 1,000. 100 is nothing. It would only bother me if there was some sort of damage.
