recently in historic old Charleston SC, very heavy rain and flooded streets.
how deep can a stock 07 2wd ex go without stalling?
where is weakness, starter, air intake, electrical?

without stalling means keeping the water out of the intake. On a first gen the intake is in the fender- it's pretty high up. I think water coming in through the door seals would be an issue before that.

The starter hangs down pretty low but should be sealed as it has the potential for getting sprayed for normal amounts of rain.

Check the abs sense location at each wheel. Those are probably the lowest electrical sensors. Probably a safe assumption to believe they are not designed for prolonged immersion.
