We just bought a 2014 Expedition EL Ltd. We're trying to get the navigation system to allow us to delete the previous owner's 'favorites', and, trying to figure out how to put our info in. We can't even get to where we can enter an address of someplace we want to go around town! We're in the testing stage right now so we're not lost in 'bum frig'. We just want to get this thing to work. Looking at the map and watching us go down the road isn't cutting it. o_O

We have a perfectly fine TomTom GPS unit but getting this to work and not having to have the TomTom hanging off the windshield would be a bonus.

I've done a couple searches in the forum and haven't run across anything that addresses this. :emotions133:

I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for, I'm sure there is a reset procedure that reset everything but I don't see reference to it. On page 469 of the owner's manual it talks about editing waypoints. Here is a link to the manual in case you don't have it. I'm sure there are others on here who can provide more information.

Thanks Andy. We do have the owner's manual (hard copy, PDF on the computer, and one in each of our iPads - ha). While I was composing my question, wifey was outside in the dark fooling around with it and found the way to delete all the old info one by one, and add in a couple of our tidbits of info. It sure isn't very intuitive though. We discovered another manual (SYNC navigation system - another PDF) online which offered some help in figuring this stuff out. We got a bunch of manuals with the car, but not this one.

Bit by bit, we're learning how to make all this technology work for us.

Sometimes I just wish I had my 53 Ford back, with three on the tree and five wires under the hood. :D

I can relate to that. I haven't worked on a car since the 80's and they were still pretty simple back then compared to now.

If you go into the system tab, there is a Master Reset, returns everything to the factory settings, erases everything saved

Wifey just went in and found a way to delete every entry one by one. End result? Same as a reset. Thanks for the comeback though.
