Hi new to this forum and new to Ford trucks too...

Bought an 01 eb expy in march and put new tires on right away. Sears did the alignment told me camber in front right tire is out by 1 degree. Printout said max is .9 degree. Sears said I need a camber kit. I have heard them tell this lie before. I did some rear susp. work on my 99 deville and the camber was out (of course). They told me it was not adjustable and it needed a camber kit. I knew this was bs but I couldn't remember HOW it was adjusted at the time. Left really mad called manager from home and quoted procedure from my fsm. Went back next day and they aligned it for half price.

I'm thinking either ignorance or laziness sears only wants to adjust toe in so they just say camber kit for everything they don't understand?

I'm getting some feathering (heel toe) on both sides of each tire. Think the tie rod ends might be worn, (checking this weekend) so if I'm replacing those I'm getting it aligned and if the camber is truly not adjustable I guess I'll invest in a camber kit.

Sorry for long post what's the opinion? Camber kit or BS? Not going back to sears either way.

The upper control arms have a factory alignment key in them and to adjust caster or camber yes a bolt kit is needed. You can adjust the camber and caster with out the kit because where the control arm bolt in there are slots there however it is very very time consuming to try to push and pull the control arm into alignment.

Try to find one trustworthy that's the hard part. There's one independant in my area they tried to top off my master cylinder with ps fluid. I have a shop in mind now but I'm just afraid it will be another bad experience

If there's a Firestone near...go to them...for $200+...you can get lifetime alignment...after I change my oil I go to them for balance/rotation/alignment...lifetime service and I can go to ANY Firestone in the nation to get this done....unlimited

I have a good amount of negative camber up front from lowering mine so I'm interested in any aftermarket solutions to this too since my factory adjustments are maxed out
