I need to get an OBDII scanner, is this a good one?

I saw an Actron CP9175 OBDII scanner at a local "pawn" shop. I don't have a check engine light on, but I'd like to know why my truck is bucking. I'd also like to have it around for the future. Is this one that can read soft codes and all the pending stuff? Or is this just a crappy reader?

I was thinking of kidnapping the guy at Autozone and making him go for a ride with his scanner plugged in, but I may just buy this instead.

I'm also thinking of just getting a bluetooth dongle and downloading the TORQUE app.

Does anyone know anything about the ACTRON? Is there anything it can't do that I might want or need?

I have a basic Actron and it's ok.

Have you thought about getting an edge programmer? It will improve the way the truck runs and act as a code scanner.

Ha Ha, my SCT reads and tells me what all the codes are as well, glad I can watch all my voltages in real time and data log as well with it.

Yeah that was my second choice but the deal for the Edge at Bloomsburg was killer and I couldn't past it up!!
If I do more serious Mods I'll switch.

$500 is a little stiff. I was also thinking of just getting a bluetooth dongle and using the Torque for Android app.
