Because I actually get to tow something with the Expy this weekend!
I don't own a boat or anything else that I get to tow, so when my wife said that some of her family heirloom furniture needed to go to her sister in southern Kansas, I said I'd be happy to tow it.
Call me crazy but I see people towing things with their trucks in the interstate and I get jealous.
It's now going to be much (piano, bed and two dressers in a Uhaul trailer) it'll be fun.

Allen, how did the tow go? Did you even feel it? I don't recall if you have the 4.6 or 5.4. I don't have the Expedition yet (but close) though a friend with a 5000lb boat says his EB with 5.4 pulls like a dream.

Did great. Plenty of power.
The only problem was that I had to drive over downed power lines to get to the U-Haul place. You see, I rented it the day after the tornado hit Moore last week...

Like you I'm jumping up and down to tow something with my wifes new X. We had to take a '91 Honda Accord Wagon up to our kids in Omaha. I wanted to tow it on our 20' Tandem axle lowboy...with the X. Then we'd tow their '86 4x4 Dodge pickup back.

The 'ol lady said "NO WAY!". I guess she thought it would put to much strain on it because the total weight returning with the Dodge would be about 6500 lbs. I tried to explain to her that her new X was rated to tow much more than that (8700 lbs). Still she vetoed it so we took the 'ol Powerstroke. Geeez that baby didn't even know it was towing anything.

Oh well maybe next time. That would've been a good test for it though.
