Hello all i just purchased a 2006 Eddie Bauer Edition Expedition and cannot figure out for the life of me this darn stereo. I have the 6 disc changer with the overhead dvd player in the back no sat or nav. My question is the only way i can get the sound to work from the dvd player over the speakers is via the FM Modulator built into the dvd player. From what ive read the Aux button on the radio is supposed to work it but when ever i push it it says No Aux Audio. The wireless headphone work fine. Or is the Aux button for something different. Alternatively I plugged in my iphone into the left and right rca connector on the back of the roof dvd and still had the sam message no ax audio. Please help me

Did the factory unit come with an FM Modulator? I'm thinking maybe your DVD player was an aftermarket addition and they installed it with the intent of using the FM modulator. You would need to rewire the audio out to the Aux input of the head unit.

That makes sense honestly I don't know. The unit is a advent and the head phones are audiovox. It does have the rear seat fm controls.

That is definitely an aftermarket unit. You may or may not be able to hard wire into your system. I'd take it to a local car audio installer and see what they have to say.

The audio for the stock Overhead DVD runs through the head unit, then to the back of the center console, then back through the stereo. If you do not have the radio controls on the rear of the center console, OR the stock DVD player, you will be stuck with what you have unless the wiring is there for the stock overhead player to tap into.
