I have had my truck for years now and every year the engine light comes on. This year I have no idea what is going on. It has run out of gas on me a few times but is reading a quarter of a tank everytime. I have replaced the complete fuel pump three different times. I am not sure what it could be. Was told it might be a fuel pump harness connector. Need some help anyone got any ideas for me...just let me know. Thanks :)

First thing is take it to autozone, O'reilly's, etc, and have them pull the code on their OBD reader. That will give you a starting point

Thanks but I have done that many times already and I keep getting the same answer, that it was my fuel pressure sensor but I have already replaced that several times.

I am new here but if someone has the voltages for the wiring back there it would be good to check, also check for shorts/continuity in the wiring by hooking up to a multimeter and wiggling all that wiring. Probably should be done with the pump assembly unplugged.
