Hi All, I'm a newb and a female so be nice..
I have a 1998 Expy that I purchased 2 mos ago. And yes they saw me coming.
Here's my question..When I back out of my drive way and turn the wheel to the left my drivers side front tire makes a noise and if the ground is wet feels like the tire grabs. Only in reverse and only to the left and only that one tire area.
I have already had some work done a new heater core and lines. I have been told I need a trans rebld rpr as the OD doesn't work right. Could this be tied into the tranny. No problems with steering no shimmy or shake or stiffness at all. Give me an idea I want to make sure the ride is safe. For now I keep the OD off and no problems but I also don't drive very far but I'm moving and need it to make the 255 mile trip keeping the kids and I safe. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

My first guess would be a bad outer CV joint or possibly a brake caliper hanging up!?

Don't believe it would be related to your transmission issues since it only happens on one wheel.
