For a year or so the front sensors sound randomly. It recently is getting more frequent. A few days ago the info screen showed passenger door ajar. It wasn't. And it wouldn't clear until i shut off the engine. On restart it always locks on something, could the two problems be related?

Another site suggested a ground problem. If so where would i begin?

2013 expedition, King Ranch.

Leaving tomorrow and may not respond for a few days.

Somebody had your exact problem and they discussed it on this site, the solution was found and corrected, the not so fun part is you now have to search & search til you stumble on it.

It was discussed about 2-3 months ago

Well, tried the ignition thing, didn't help. Saw something about TSBs, downloaded some. I don't speak Farci so that didn't help. So I decided to pull the negative cable on the battery. Success. I'd seen reference to resetting the computer. I guess thats how that's done. I don't speak mechanic, either.

Well, not quite alone. I'd never have gotten to the battery if you hadn't had me search for the prior thread. Just knowing the problem was known and also seeing it was associated with trailering, which I'd done at what was probably the day that the problem began all gave me reason to try my own ideas.

The thought that we might have an electrical gremlin concerned me . Hate to have mechanics seeing their kid's tuition hiding in my electronics.

Thanks again.
