I'm not sure when the Expeditions started coming with integrated blind spot mirrors... My 07 doesn't have them and I'm thinking I'd rather have those instead of the stick-on style. Anyone here replace their mirror glass with the newer style with the integrated blind spot mirror? If so, how expensive were they? how hard was the swap?

2012 was the first year they started integrating them. I have 2011 limited el and I am just fine with stick on's.

I looked into this already and gave up the dream when I saw Ford (Tasca) wanted $203 ( MSRP $308 ) just for the glass on the passenger side and another $82 ($123 ) for drivers side glass :frown:

i have a 2011, and i put on the oem 2012 glass as soon as they were available. i find that the driver side is very useful, and the passenger side one is useless btw.

if i did it again, i would just get the driver side.

swap was easy peasy.

Thanks everyone! I may go sit in a 2012 at the dealer to see if they are what I'm looking for or not... Although the price may shoot down this idea, I was expecting $30-ish per side.

I've got a '12. The driver's side is useful when you're changing lanes, passenger side not so useful, at least for me, since it's a small image in the mirror.

thats exactly how i felt, the passenger side, you can barely see it especially at nights. i upgraded, so it was 200 bucks i could have kept in my pocket hah.

Yea I'm out on those based on you guys comments & price. I was at the Ford dealer today ordering an F250 Airbox Snorkel and checked on pricing for the mirror glass. I think I'll stick with the $8 stick-on's from Pep Boys.

If they hadn't already been on mine, I never would have bought anything to replace/stick on the stock mirrors. They are so big to begin with, these small mirrors are an afterthought

You got to remember these are heated mirrors so I'm sure they cost some dough. I was just looking into this too as well, but thought the passenger side would be useful for paralleled parking maybe.
