Intermittent Homelink Buttons

My Homelink buttons have on three or four occasions not worked. You can push any of the buttons and the little light doesn't flash and the garage door doesn't open or close. You can wiggle it but nothing works. Then you can turn off the engine and start it again and it works. Does anybody have any ideas about this behavior?

If you're unable to find assistance from the folks here, I recommend a trip to your Ford Dealer, where the techs will be able to diagnose any concerns. You may locate one here.

As I mentioned, it is intermittent and dealers have a notoriously bad record when it comes to diagnosing those kinds of problems. What I usually get is "Can you bring it back when it's happening and then we can diagnose it."
