Hey all,

2004 Expedition xlt; original owner.

I'm currently experiencing problems controlling where the air is output inside the cab. My Expedition sat for about a month while on vacation. Came home, replaced the OLD battery and away we went.

Problem is: no matter if I try and put air to my feet, face or combination of both it only comes out of the windshield defroster area. So essentially I have no control over where the air comes out no matter where I turn the knob.

If you have any ideas of what I should check out to fix this problem. It's about to get hot here in Southern California and I'd like some cold air in my face!

Thank you!

Check the vacuum lines behind the battery. They control the direction door for the defrost, vent and floor. If I remember correctly the run against the firewall behind near the battery.
