Is there room in the liftgate to mount speakers???

Anyone ever explore this? have pics of the internals???

Would like to put some speakers back there....think it's kinda wasted room.

I would think it would be a waste. If the third row is up all its gonna do is block the sound since you can only mount them on the lower portion. Im no audio genious so I can be wrong, just stating the obvious.

i've seen 6x9s in the tailgate before...i played around with the concept of putting shallow mount subs in the tailgate...think i'm going with custom look of having my amps in the tailgate with plexi top...then have 6x8 or 6x9 in the d-pillars...those are the plans...while keeping the 3rd row with a custom box with a high output sub...or two...i'm thinking about 1200-1500rms on the subs...them amp the components in the doors and amp the 3rd set of speakers in the d-pillars...

I like the amp idea too...

I was originally wanting to put subs in the gate ....

But I'm also interested in the 6 x 9 option so when I go camping I can open the gate and let the TPT in me flow.
