It's been a fun ride

Well, the time has come for me to say goodbye to my Expedition. It has served me well for the past 3 years. She has 174k on it and the Trans was going to need overhauled/replaced soon. SO I took it to the dealer and traded her in for an Explorer. The dealer gave me $2800 as a trade. Not bad considering I paid $4000 for it 3 years ago.

A new Explorer? I was driving next to a Limited one yesterday and the thing was pretty sharp looking. Looked a little smaller then the older bodies but I think thats just of the redesigned shape a little. Good Luck!!!

Well, its not BRAND new. Its a 2008 Eddie Bauer with only 20k miles. Looks brand new though. It is a certified vehicle and carries the remainder of the 6 year 100k mile warranty. It belonged to one of the salesmen at the dealer. My family is personal friends with the sales manager there. She was able to get me a really good deal I think.

Thank you. Yes. I love my Fords. I have had several ford products and with the exception of my 2000 Ranger, they all have been great. My Taurus had over 150k when I sold it and was still running strong. My 400hp Mustang ( I put a worked, Carbureted 302 in that) was a beast as well. The expedition gave me no real problems other than the damn coil packs. So I naturally was interested in another Ford product.
