My 99 EB 5.4 is missing slightly at idle and jerking while driving 40 mph or around 2000 rpm. Check engine light came on while it was jerking and going up a hill, but the light went back off. If I accelerate while driving, the jerking stops. I believe it could be fuel related or possibly ignition related. Hope it's not transmission related.

I would say the most common issue with these are the cops (coil on plug). That and spark plugs would be the first thing I would check.

concur on misfire. how many miles? When was the time your plugs &/or cops were changed.

Plugs changed when engine was installed in August 2011. Cops are existing from replaced motor. Engine has 86k. I have been informed when the engine was installed that the cops will have to be replaced soon. These are fairly expensive I believe.

I figured it out , I think. HAHA. I found a broken coil mount and the coil was just floating around. I made a new post on another thread about a set of coils for 69.00. They are on Ebay and the brand is Ara parts. I'll try these and let everyone know if they are any good. Thanks for your replies!
