Well, I just got done replacing my lower trailing arms on my 98 Expy. After doing some reading on here i was able to do this job feet first. I knew that i was going to have to cut off one of the bolts because of the gas tank, so i went ahead and bought a bolt from Fastenall. The funny part about all of this is I didnt by my replacement trailing arms new. I called around the local junk yards hoping i would find an Expy that had them replaced, since this is a very big problem with this model. Well after walking around a junk yard and looking at every last Expy they had, i found one that had the Ford replacement parts. $30 per trailing arm!!!! That beats $600 for the pair new from Ford or the $189 from some aftermarket company.
The job itself took about 2.5 hrs, thanks to the good info i got from reading forums on here. I took pics and i will put together a "how to" sometime soon to help out others that might need to finish this job as well.
