So I replaced the passenger side cats and pipe. It was a 15-hr PITA of the first degree. It took me the whole weekend. The Exhaust manifold to pipe bolts were gone. I re-drilled the bottom one and jury rigged the upper one. That alone took 2 hours. The cross brace had to be removed. That took me 2 hours to take off (I can do it in 1 now) and an hour to put back on. I bought cheap replacement ($380) from Canada, so things were just off enough to add another hour or 2. The passenger side pipe has to be removed, so I recommend replacing it at the same time. Honestly, I suggest shelling out $1,500 and getting it done in a shop. I took Tylenol for aching joints and recuperate before I'll try replacing AC clutch in my Mazda...
