I think ... Could be wrong. Vehicles that are safer (more protective of occupants) are designed to crumple and absorb energy in a crash. So a vehicle that may save lives is all crumpled up after an accident vs one that transfers all that energy to your body.My Wife and Daughter were rear ended in our 05 by a Volvo sedan at a light. A panic stop in front of my Wife resulted in her stopping as they were accelerating off of the light. The Volvo fared about as well as that Colorado. We will never not own one of these as long as we're moving the family around. Glad you're well and have fun shopping for another![]()
I Would never bother with putting a reman engine or trans in this thing lol.... but we work on enough of these every week To have no issue at all getting parts. To be honest i had 2200 bucks in the expy.. including the cost of it and all the parts i had put in it since i got it. I got more than enough out of it.haha, i've owned both
rather have the expy anyday
just as reliable, if not more, and none of the mystic japanese BS with parts
good luck getting a quality reman engine/trans for your toyota. haha.
I do also. Mass and lots of metal around me. Used to drive old style van and was not comfortable with protection in front of me. One time a mustang slid in front of me during a snowstorm when I was driving a Lincoln Conti. It was kinda funny really ... I just felt a little bump and the stang bounced around like a pinball. There is quite a bit of truth in that! I personally like the thought of having the physical benefit of mass.
